Retroarch Docker

Retroroot is a Buildroot-based embedded Linux image that auto-runs retroarch on startup. What are some of the highlights/why would I want to use this? This project is supposed to be used as a template for you! I want to provide an easy starting point for users to build their own distribution/embedded Linux-based retroarch system! The Docker Weekly is a email newsletter with the latest content on Docker and the event agenda for the upcoming weeks. Meet the Captains. Select members of the community that are both experts in their field and are passionate about sharing their Docker knowledge with others. Educational resources. Built on top of the famous RetroArch emulator, Lakka is able to emulate a wide variety of systems and has some useful features such as automatic joypad recognition, rewinding, netplay, and shaders.

Note: Some of these emulators may be outdated or unmaintained. Before installingany particular emulator, check these resources to see what the current recommendationsare:

  • NES: Use QuickNES
  • SNES: Don't use RetroArch; see below for alternative options
  • Sega Master System, Game Gear, Genesis/Mega Drive: Use Picodrive
